Now news comes that the commercial has not only upped Billy Bookcase sales, but also resurrected the career of classical pop-pianist, Mara Carlyle. Carlyle was ready to give up her musical ambitions, when her song Pianni was featured in the viral clip.
She told the Guardian:
"The Ikea advert came at a time when I was about to give up entirely. The struggle to get my album out had taken over my life, so I had decided to forget about it and move on. Then this came along, out of the blue."
With cats, anything is possible!
In more IKEA news, did you know that in celebration of the IKEA cats commercial, a "feline friendly" CAT-ALOGUE was also released in the UK?
The 11-page digital catalog features even more gorgeous pussycats, striking their best nonchalant supermodel poses on a variety of IKEA furniture.
Oh, if only the cats came with the furniture! You can check out the rest of the cat-alogue by clicking here.

Love, LOVE this!
I love this commercial. Wish I was in the UK so I could see the catalog, too!
