While I spend a lot of time devoted to Hello Kitty over in these parts, one of my all time favorite animated cats is none other than lasagna-eating, nap-attacking, Monday-hating, Garfield!
Our friends over at Pawesome discovered a unique Garfield art show taking place in Santa Monica, CA tomorrow night, sponsored by clothing line/online magazine The Hundreds. The opening will feature original art work by over twenty artists giving their best representations of America's favorite fat cat, and Garfield creator Jim Davis will also be in attendance to do a signing. (Sonia pointed out an excellent interview with Davis, which you can read here.)
Artwork by Nate Frizzell
Garfield himself visited The Hundreds office to prepare for the big event, but before he got down to work, the first order of business was heading out to the store to buy some kitty litter. [Full photoset here]
For those unfortunate souls like myself who won't be able to make it to the art show, The Hundreds have stocked their online shop with a fine selection of goods to meet all of your Garfield needs.

I am a HUGE Garfield freak from waaaaay back! I think Jim Davis was originally from Cleveland but I am not sure.
