Please! cats & washing machines are sometimes fatal, and not just when they are in operation! Love(d) my cat Gomez who fell asleep in an idle washer, door was unusually closed, thought she was just paying me back for being gone most of the day, she was the same steely gray as the interior of the machine - a moment in time could have saved her. A fresh air vent through the soap/water dispenser could save another! I hope I can forgive myself.
