The lone Super Bowl commercial featuring a cat finally aired late in the fourth quarter of the game last night, much to the delight of kitty enthusiasts everywhere! The E*TRADE spot featured their signature talking baby, along with a sneezy cat named Peppers. It wasn't my favorite cat commercial ever, but I was still happy to see a feline on my TV screen (Equal rights! Dogs got at least two shot-outs in ads for Doritos and Bud Light!)
I posted a few classic cat Super Bowl commercials on Facebook and Twitter last night while live tweeting the Puppy Bowl (if you're not following me yet, what are you waiting for?)
In case you missed it, or just want to relive the magic, check them out below!
First up, I remember this commercial from several years ago because of the sheer genius of it. The Ameriquest Mortgage Company used a frazzled guy, a curious cat, and an over tipped pot of pasta sauce to illustrate the point of not judging situations too quickly.
Subaru took the epic battle between cats and dogs to the next level, moving their rivalry to the ultimate fighting ground - a parking lot! Somebody give this cat an Academy Award! (I don't think this aired during a Super Bowl, but it was on during the Puppy Bowl last night.)
And finally, the grandaddy of them all, this classic EDS commercial simply titled, "Herding Cats." It must be watched to be believed!
What's your favorite animal-themed Super Bowl commercial?

Thanks for posting these great commercials!
Nothing can top the cat herders! Love the guy lint-rolling his vest!
I agree with Lisa. The cat herders was best. I thought the sneezing cat one during the Super Bowl wasn't that great...the cat herder still is tops!
I love the stolen parking spot. It wouldn't have been as funny if a dog swiped a cat's spot! It's behavior you'd expect more from a cat--haha!
Pepper the kitty is adorable. But didn't like that one much.
Oh, that Subaru one/parking spot one is awesome! Thanks for the laugh!
