Portrait Of A Cat Earrings - Anthropologie, $38.00 (online exclusive)
"Tiny orange and white crystals, with the stylish finishing touches of a ribbon scarf, create a rather refined feline to dangle from your ears."
What do you guys think about these Anthropologie cat earrings? Two five-star reviews on the site rave about the crystal kitties, with one happy shopper proclaiming, "This is one of those items that you just don't think twice about when you're deciding to purchase something. It was that quick - I saw them online and immediately purchased them because they are CLASSIC anthro. Distinctive and costumey without being obnoxious or cheap."
The earrings also seem to be rather large, with the same reviewer explaining, "As far as aesthetics go, they're larger than you'd think - about the size of your thumb (or, mine at least) - and they fall a good midway between the lobe and the shoulder." (The item details list them as 2.5"L, 1"W).
I like them because they're cats, of course, but I don't know if I'm in love. I mean if someone gave them to me, I wouldn't say no, but I might prefer a black/gold color combo, or maybe even something in the pastel family. What do you think?

Cute. Not wild about them, but I am notoriously not a fan of jewelry shaped like real things. (I am picky)
They're cute, but I'm not crazy about them. I don't care for the color.
I wouldn't have guessed they are supposed to be cats. They look more like aliens.
I think they are super cute and yes I DO think they look like cats!
I have a policy though that I never buy ANYTHING cat related unless it
A) looks like my Angel Bobo
B) Or is gray like Cody
I know that is strange but that is my policy!
My problem with these is the use of the white thingies. What: Ears & eyes & paws are supposed to look exactly the same? A "refined feline"?? Hardly! Makes my teeth hurt, that something so perfect and beautiful could be so reduced like that. Offends my aesthetic sense. Madam that I am.
