Cat Walking with Mo Rocca

Must watch! Comedian Mo Rocca recently filed this adorably hilarious trend piece about cat walking in New York City for CBS News Sunday Morning. Rocca meets with Radar, a cat who loves being walked, along with a veterinarian, the creator of the Kitty Holster cat harness, and the inventor of the Kitty Walk cat stroller for more perspective on the issue.

  1. Simba likes the look of being taken for a walk on wheels very much :)

  2. ROCKY IS AWESOME. Come on Mo, you can't just come in, sit on his couch, start petting him, and then insult him!!! Hiss hiss is right. That is totally something that Fern would do too. Happy Friday! Thanks for making my morning HILARIOUSLY FUN, as usual!

  4. That is a great video. I have seen other people that have those carriages for cats. One blogger takes all three of her cats out in a buggy. I don't think I would want to walk my cat in a city with all the dogs around. That might be really dangerous. I have another friend who had her cat out on a leash and a dog attacked them both and bit the person. Luckily the cat wasn't hurt.

  5. Not sure I'm ready for cat walking, although we do address it when we do adoption counseling. I think I'm afraid that if my kitties got used to going out, they would want to go out all the time (like my dogs). My kitties have their own "catio" though, so they can play in the sunshine and get some fresh air at will. If I just had 1 cat, I would probably try taking him/her for a walk though.

  6. I wish I had tried our cats on a harness, not even for going out for walks but just in case we would ever need to use one. Plus we could let them be out in the car when we go to the vets if we used one!

  7. Honestly it really is so important to harness train your cats, even if your not training them to go for walks. I flew my two cats in cargo, and they have to come out of the crate in the busy airport for the crate to be swabbed & checked. We always have them on harnesses in these types of situations in case they freak and try to bolt. The last thing I would have wanted is for my cats to get lots in an airport.
