Etsy Sellers Get Creative With Recycled Cat Food Packaging

Recycled Cat Chow Messenger Tote - One Woman Studio, $39.00

Ever wonder if there's a better use for your discarded cat food and litter packaging? Just in time for Earth Day, some Etsy artists like One Woman Seller (above), have turned their trash into upcycled treasure with tote bags and cards made out of bags and labels from their cat's favorite foods!

Seller A Touch of Gray assembled this unique greeting card after reading about a challenge that required you to create a card out of something recycled. She says the Friskies labels were taken off unopened cans of cat food, and admits, "It's going to be a surprise for the next few days when I go feed my babies!" (You can read more about her experience creating the handmade card here.)

Kitty Themed Upcycled Reusable Tote Bags - Sarakaykow, $12.00 - $15.00

Sellers Sarah and Lorraine of Sarakaykow have taken it a step further, by creating these green, reusable tote bags using packaging from products for all types of animals, including dogs, bunnies, and of course, cats. The bags are described as durable and waterproof, and have been thoroughly cleaned, so you don't have to worry about getting some leftover kibble with your purchase!

Dig the idea of eco-friendly cat chic? I've delved into the world of recycled cute before, by featuring these kitty magnets and necklaces crafted out of aluminum cans, and this designer dress constructed entirely out of bags of Friskies!
