Welcome back for another edition of Caturday, where we get to know some of my readers' excellent kitties. This week, our featured feline is so adorable, that even her name is precious..literally!
Meet Precious, the tiny tiger otherwise known as "Princess Fluffykins"! Can you even?? Join us as her owner, Tanya, takes us on this spunky tabby's journey from kitten to cat!
Take it away, Tanya!
Precious will be 2 years old this summer and is always making me laugh. I adopted her from my city's Animal Services when she was just a wee kitten. She was the last one of her litter left at the shelter and looked desperate for attention. I knew she was the kitten for me when she climbed into my purse and looked up at me with her big eyes. I had to bring her home!
She was apparently the runt of her litter but grew fast, and when she stretches out now, she's the longest cat I've seen. It amazes me how she still manages to curl into such a tiny ball!
"Don't mess with mah Buttons!"
Her main interests include digging receipts out of my purse to play with, and more recently, sneaking up behind me and trying to pull elastics directly out of my hair. She expends a lot of energy having aggressive play fights with her stuffed tuxedo cat toy "Buttons" (I think she may think it's her sibling, she bathes and cuddles it too!).

The literate cat
She also likes opening my pajama drawer and pulling just enough PJ's out onto the floor to create the perfect burrowing space for a nap. I also suspect she is an avid reader, or else, avidly opposed to me reading when I should be paying attention to her.
Here's a picture I took when I left the fridge open for a split second and she jumped in and hid behind the lasagna (channeling Garfield).
Pink toe bean alert! Get 'em just in time for Easter!
She is definitely a momma's girl and doesn't really like other people or cats too much. That's ok with me though!
Obligatory sun puddle shot
Were you planning on going somewhere, momma?

Special thanks to Tanya for sharing her "Precious" moments with us this week! It was fun seeing her kitty's transformation from wee baby to fine little ladycat, and I can't wait to see what else is in store for this little comedian!

Hi, Catsparella, Tanya and Precious,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this post. So, I'm not the only one who gets comfortable with human food! You're right, Precious is just that, a beautiful ladycat with such a sweet way about her. Hugs and nosepats to all!
Happy weekend!

We love Caturday! Precious is quite the pretty LadyCat.
ReplyDeleteNice review! Although the scull and cross bones on pink is a hoot! How can you be mean while wearing pink?
ReplyDeletePrecious, you are just so darn cute. We love your pink collar. Also that you like to read recipes. Good for you. You sure look like a lot of fun to have around even though you seem to get into a little trouble every now and then. Great post.
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeletePretty little lady... love the collar! I can't get a collar on Bruiser to save my life.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love her collar!
ReplyDeleteOMG way too cute. I like envisioning her climbing into the fridge, your seeing her, then your RUNNING to get the camera, all the while trying to keep the fridge open but keeping her calm enough to stay there. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya, for sharing your adorable pics of Precious! Love the pink skull and crossbones collar on Precious...the color goes with her toepads! It's hard to pick who's cuter...Precious or my Allie. If she loves lasagna, then it's hard to tell that since she's such a lean little cat.
ReplyDeleteOh Precious is so precious!! You are so funny that you open pajama drawer and pull out PJs!! My kids have never done that! Oh you are just so cute. I enjoy reading the post :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my Precious, you sure are!!! I love that pink collar of your too!
ReplyDeleteThis adorable kitty made my mom person SQUEE out loud! Thanks for sharing her with us.
