Pink Kitten Update!

Pink Panther in early May

Remember last month when I posted some ridiculously cute photos of a tiny pink kitten that had been found in an abandoned factory? The cat, nicknamed Pink Panther, was rescued along with her three siblings after they were found in a concrete factory in the UK.

What made their story even more unique was that a few of them had turned a peculiar shade of pink, presumably from exposure to red pigment used in the concrete manufacturing process. Staff at Cats Protection tried to wash the color out, but conceded it would probably remain until it grew out naturally. It was last reported that the kittens were doing well, and being cared for until they were old enough to be adopted.

Pink Panther in June!

Well, today I was happy to read an update on CBBC that the kittens are growing quickly, and have returned to their normal color. The post also unsurprisingly confirms that the babes are all spoken for, and have good homes to go to once they're old enough.

Before & After

Aren't these before and after pics of Pink Panther amazing? It's nice to see how much she's grown from being a sad and malnourished kitten, into a roly poly ball of (normal colored) fur!
