Do not disturb! Very important box testing in progress!
Tashi is another one of the special needs cats at Tabby's Place, and on the day I visited, admittedly I didn't get much face time with the popular tabby because he was very busy inspecting a box that had just arrived!
Found living in an Ohio-area feral colony in 2008 as a paraplegic, incontinent kitten, volunteers knew that his prospects on the streets or at a traditional shelter were low, so they brought him 400-miles east to Ringoes, NJ to Tabby's Place, where he recently celebrated his 3rd birthday.
Tashi's bladder must be expressed twice a day because of his paralysis, and he also receives rehabilitation treatments in hopes that someday he'll be able to partially regain his ability to walk.
As you can see from the video above shot in April, he's been making wonderful progress, and even received some unlikely motivation in the form of a tiny, 3-day-old "therapy" goat that happened to be visiting the sanctuary for the day!
Click HERE to learn more about Tashi, and find out how you can sponsor him, and please remember to keep voting Catsparella every day, twice a day through July 29th, for Best Social Integration Blog at http://www.dogtime.com/petties.
If we win, I'll donate the $1,000 prize to Tabby's Place, to help fund the care of Tashi, and other special needs kitties just like him.

First and foremost, Oh my god. I've never seen a baby goat before.
Secondly, Tashi looks like he's doing well for himself! I hope he can work those legs until they are strong!
Still really hoping you win the blog contest so the money can be donated! I would love that!
Thank you, Alyssa! :)
God's blessings on Tabby's Place. I am very familiar with Ringoes and was very recently within a mile of it. I would have been honored to go by and meet that special baby. I am so grateful they took hiom and cared for him. Much love to him and his angel caregivers.

WOW!! We are happy that places like Tabby's Place exist so that kitties like Tashi get a chance to live their life. That is a really happy story :)

That baby goat is the cutest thing!
Tashi has been "Uncle Tashi" to lots of little ones who have lived at Tabby's Place... most recently, especially with fellow Special Needs cat Bialy.
Touching story! Healing purrs and purrayers for Tashi. Thank goodness fur Tabby's Place! xoxo
Pee Ess - still voting!!!
