Self taught artist Vivienne Strauss may not have any formal arts training, but her BA in Philosophy surely plays a role in her original paintings and prints. I love her creative use of colors and patterns, that are only enhanced by the quirky narratives she brings to each piece. From first family portraits, to simply relaxing at home, Strauss is gifted at turning some of life's ordinary moments into extraordinary works of cat art.

We like these pieces very much! As you said, they turn everyday slices of life into works of art.
Folk art for the new millennium. How does she create a cozy mood and a hint of dysfunction all at the same time? Is she spying on us?
I'm thrilled to have found this post- you all have made my day!
You're amazing, Vivienne!! Thanks for stopping by! :)
