The Cat Ball Modern Cat Bed Holiday Giveaway!

Ho, ho, ho!

Bored of plain old pet beds, or just trying to get your cat to hang out somewhere other than on top of you, in their broken down old box, or in any one of numerous other places where they don't belong? Then get ready for The Cat Ball (and The Cat Canoe), invented by Jennifer Schmidt, who has turned her passion for kitties and crafting into cool, luxury products for modern cat owners.

Her colorful, cozy creations come in lots of fun patterns (I'm currently digging the damask), and are good for playtime or nap time. The beds are hand crafted from her original designs, and are compressible, washable, durable, and (most importantly), cat approved!

Instead of me going on about it, please allow Jennifer to tell you a little more about her cat-tastic invention.

She says:

"I designed the Cat Ball in response to cat behaviors that I observed. My cats like to sleep in it, hang out in it, groom in it and they also play in it. The smaller opening is a great little porthole to peek out of, and I like to dangle a string in front of it to get the cat party started. One of my cats sleeps in the Cat Ball every night, and he refuses to share it with his brother.

I’ve made a special Christmas Cat Ball for the giveaway. The Cat Ball I’ve prepared is the mini size, which I have product tested to cats up to about 15-17 pounds. The cat in the photos here weighs 11.5. The shell fabric is panne velvet and the lining has a candy cane print. There are two openings, the small one is about 6" diameter and the larger one is about 10". Both openings are trimmed with white fur. The diameter is 17", the height is about 16".

It’s washable, and there are washing instructions on my website, http://thecatball.com/. We’ve done some experimenting here, and have learned the hard way, so it’s pretty important to read the washing info.

This product is currently available in my Etsy store, at Revolution Gallery in Issaquah, WA, and will soon be available at Green Dog Pet Supply in Portland, OR."
