Hello Kitty shows she still has love for Charlize
As a fan of Charlize Theron, and her recent movie Young Adult, I was dismayed to hear the actress chastising grown women who wear Hello Kitty clothing. She recently told The New York Times' TimesTalk panel in NYC, "I'm pretty amazed by Hello Kitty. I see so many women in their 30s walking around in Hello Kitty shit and nobody is concerned for them. It's the one iconic teenage symbol that seems ok for women in their 30s? The world seems to not have an issue with it."
The 36-year-old actress's comments were made in regard to her new movie, the Diablo Cody penned, Young Adult. Theron instructed the costume designer to include Hello Kitty pieces in her wardrobe for the role of emotionally stunted YA writer, Mavis Gary.
Hello Kitty, a friend to women of ALL ages, issued her own statement on Facebook yesterday, proudly sporting her very own Charlize tee, and proving that in addition to being adorable, she also has more of a sense of humor in her "5 apples tall" body, than Charlize has in her nearly 5' 10" frame.

Wow. I remember when Charlize Theron was just starting out. What I liked about her was her sort of casual humility. Well, now that she's a star she can sit back and comment on truly important stuff like how idiotic we are for what we wear. Don't you just love celebrities?
i finks Hello Kitty iz ageless and Charlize shuld be ashamed of herself.
I have always liked Hello Kitty and I am almost 40 years old. I am also a fully functional and self sufficient adult. Growing up means taking responsibility for yourself and the role you play in other people's lives. But it doesn't mean that you can't still have fun. When you quit having fun, that is growing old, not growing up.
Um, my Mommeh has a confession to make. She has THREE Hello Kitty tee-shirts... and she's old.
Meh, I don't care what Charlize Theron says...I'll wear Hello Kitty till whatever age I please ;P
