Feeling empty since "My Cat From Hell" Season 2 wrapped up in February? Fear not, because cat-guru Jackson Galaxy is already hard at work filming season 3 of the hit Animal Planet series, and has just released a new book for those eager to know how the unconventional cat man became the celebrated feline behaviorist he is today.
For those unfamiliar with the tattooed teddy bear and his M.O., his show chronicles the process of the self-proclaimed "Cat Daddy" as he helps frustrated cat owners (or "guardians" as he calls them) learn techniques to help their badly behaved felines, who are on the verge of being relinquished because of intense, yet correctable behavioral issues. During the course of an episode, Galaxy also dishes out helpful advice to viewers on forming better relationships with their cats, and promotes the idea that all cats are treatable, and deserving of help.
Jackson's book, "Cat Daddy: What the World's Most Incorrigible Cat Taught Me About Life, Love and Coming Clean," was released last week, and is one part memoir and one part cat advice manual. Galaxy gets introspective in the bio, which offers a deeper look at the man behind the catnip - from his drug addled to past, to his years working at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, where he discovered his "cat mojo" and developed his mission to end pet overpopulation in his lifetime.
Galaxy is currently on a tour promoting the book, and has upcoming stops scheduled in Phoenix, San Francisco, Portland, Boulder, and Denver (click here for dates and info).
