Pussy Meow
Anything which can be described as "kitchy" and "kitty" are right up my alley, which is why the Pussy Meow Cat Fashion Doll by Remco is catnip to a girl like me! Blogger Karswell of And Everything Else Too, recently shared the vintage score he made at a toy show last year, and writes, "and even though I'm a dude and this is obviously a girl toy, I love her just the same as my monsters and Shogun Warriors."

The pink fashion diva, perhaps a precursor to those oddly dressed plush Bratz cats, was released in 1966 as a feline companion to an equally misfit looking poodle named TV Jones. The dolls would tilt their heads if you pushed buttons on their chest, and came packaged inside of a plastic television set carrying case.
Extra ensembles could be purchased for the feline fashionista, including styles ranging from "a schoolgirl, a hullabaloo, a secret agent, and an evening gown." I especially admire her wild mane of cotton candy colored hair, but as Barbie fans know, keeping track of four tiny shoes instead of two must have really been a challenge!

Oh My Cat...I must have one of those!!! I wonder if they are ever available on ebay. Thanks for my new favorite obsession, MOL.
Oh...I just dress up my real cat...she's soft and fuzzy, too...
I lost out on so many of those on ebay! What a find! I do, however, have many Peteenas and her entire wardrobe except for her stockings and some accessories from her evening gown set.
My Mommy wants one of those. Bad.
