Street Cat Bob
London is currently home to quite a few famous cats, most notably Larry the Downing Street Cat, who was adopted by British PM David Cameron in 2011, and swiftly appointed "Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office." If like me, you won't find yourself with an invite to the Prime Minister's house anytime soon, there's also the handsome orange cat known as Street Cat Bob, who gained notoriety alongside busker James Bowen, on the streets of Covent Garden. Earlier this year, the two released a book, "A Street Cat Named Bob: How One Man and His Cat Found Hope on the Streets," and despite their growing fame, can still be found busking in the area (send a message to @StreetCatBob on Twitter to find out where they'll be).
Cat Mummies at The British Museum
Speaking of less lively felines, The British Museum houses an oddly jovial looking pair of Ancient Egyptian cat and kitten mummies dating back to Roman Period, while elsewhere, a larger than life fiberglass cat sculpture in South London's Catford district will let you know you've found the right place!
The Catford Cat
English author Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) had a particular fondness for felines which was unusual during his lifetime. A bronze statue of his beloved cat, Hodge, can be found in the courtyard outside of his house in Gough Square in the City of London. The statue depicts the cat "sitting next to a pair of empty oyster shells atop a copy of Johnson's famous dictionary, with the inscription 'a very fine cat indeed.'"

Of course, no trip to London is complete without a visit to a pub. If you're lucky, maybe you'll find yourself at the one of many establishments in the city that employs a resident feline to serve up your ale with a side of aww!
