This week, a kitty crossing guard watched over students at a Washington school, Happy Cake baked up Silly Siamese birthday cupcakes, an orange tabby named Luther Lassen ruled a wild bird shop, Henri, Le Chat Noir starred in "The Worst Noel," and I rounded up the 25 biggest cat culture moments of 2012!
Also, don't forget to send your kitty's best holiday pictures to catsparella@gmail.com for a chance to be featured in our big Merry Catmas round-up! I'm accepting submissions through Christmas Eve!
Garfield
This week's featured feline is handsome ginger boy who was named after a famous cartoon cat!
Marisa writes:
This is our orange tabby, Garfield. We found him while out on a bike ride. He was about three months old, was drinking water from the gutter, and started chasing us on our bikes. I took him back to where he was, and went door to door asking if he belonged to anyone. We couldn't turn our back on him after no one claimed or wanted him, so my husband and I brought him home, and the rest is history!
Garfield is a sweetie. He loves when my husband carries him around the house like a baby. He loves to walk around the kitchen while I'm cooking with his nose high up in the air sniffing. He loves his cat trees and bird watching. He was the first member of our feline family, and our only little boy. We adore this little sweetheart.
Special thanks to Marisa and Emmanuel for sharing Garfield's sweet story with us this week!
