Cat Loaf
I recently came across a kitty culinary creation so magnificent, you'd definitely think twice before taking a bite!
"Cat Loaf" comes courtesy of Lou Lou P's Delights, home of bespoke cakes and edible artistry, with a mission to "furnish Yorkshire and beyond with cake gorgeosity!"
Lou told me that the inspiration behind the adorable bread was none other than her own kitties, and a bit of extra dough:
"Hmmm, my inspiration for 'catloaf', that's easy. I have five little loaves all staring at me right now...these are living breathing loaves though!" she said. "I just love cats and adore it when they 'loaf' - I find the expression so endearing too. After some regular bread baking I found myself with some spare dough, so 'catloaf' was born."
The crusty kitty was created with the method used in the Serious Eats recipe for Bunny Bread -- and just in case there's any doubt that catloaf is real, here's a photo (not for the faint of heart), of it sliced up and slathered in jam!
